Comment: When Dr. Schoen began practicing veterinary medicine many veterinarians felt that animals did not have feelings and emotions. He disagreed from the beginning and gives some excellent advice about building a strong bond of love and respect with our pets.There's a lot of good information in this video with stories and antidotes that pet lovers will enjoy. He discusses suitable animal companions to fit different lifestyles; dangers in the environment and how to keep our pets safe; and a thorough discussion about pet foods and how to evaluate commercial food products.
I believe my favorite section is where Dr. Schoen demonstrates how to do a weekly pet scan which is very useful in checking for potential health problems in our animals. I had been doing my own version of this for years and this gave me a clearer understanding of what to look for.
