Summary: Doesn't really do the job and heats up too much.
Comment: I was hoping this product would help me with grooming my toy poodles. However, it doesn't trim their hair very well. I have to go over the same spot several times. By then my dog is tired of holding still. Perhaps this would work on a short haired dog.
Also, the trimmer head heats up and, in my estimation, gets too hot to use against a dog's face or foot pads. I put it against my arm and it was uncomfortably hot.
It was pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. I may return this item...haven't decided yet. If anyone has a suggestion for a better trimmer, I'd love to hear it.
