Customer Rating: Summary: Well worth the money Comment: I've been buzzing my own hair for a dozen years or so now. I'm a white male in my early 30s with thin/ thinning hair on top. The in-and-out chain barbers do a terrible job, and if you want a good cut from a real barber, it'll cost you more. So me, being cheap, I've gone through several of these cheaper clipper sets over the years - Remingtons, Wahls, Conairs, all without much success. Then I found this Andis set and figured I'd give it a shot.
Well that was several years ago. I've been using my Andis since then without any problems. Just some clipper oil and brushing it out after each cut.
The only complaints I have are that it does get hot rather quickly, but you can buy the Cool Down spray for that (that stuff smells good; makes it smell like a real barbershop!) And the power cord is a little on the short side; but that's easily fixed with an extension cord.
But those concerns are minor. This clipper is awesome at what it's supposed to do - cut hair. I also love that it comes with a super-short 1/16" guard. That's usually hard to find on these bargain-priced models.
Honestly I've REALLY got my money's worth out of this clipper. I would absolutely buy this again. Actually I would probably spend more money and get a nicer Andis professional version, or a cordless version. Recommended - I'm an Andis man now.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can't go wrong with ANDIS Comment: I've purchased this trimmer as replacement for my Andis outlinner II that broke (think this one's me).
It cuts as sharp as the old one but doesn't get warm up as quick so overall it's a great trimmer that comes with a variety of attachments combs and the best of all the bear brush that help prevent ingrown hair (dry shaving).
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the location of the switch...compared to the old one (located at the top), I've found myself turning it off accidentally.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Most Amazing HAIR TRIMMER/ CUTTER Comment: I first came across Andis products from a friend of mine who cuts my hair. And I always said I had to get a good trimmer for my beard because every of other trimmer I had either didn't cut my hair low enough or would cause razor bumps on my face.So I decide to take a leap of faith and try this one.On the box, it say is the closest cutting blade(of course I seen that before),but I tried, it was a amazing cut.I was surprise how clean it left my face.SO it does what it says. But to add to the value of it, usual accessories found in hair cutting kit, but with one extra thing. The trimmer comes with information how to use it in different ways and also how to stop and eliminate razor bumps.I love it and highly recommended to anyone who has a problem with razor bumps or looking for the closest cut for shaping up, shaving or styling hair.
Customer Rating: Summary: How good is this machin Comment: I have gone through many machines of this kind, however this one is more reliable and works better, after a while the machine's noise elevated, I oiled and still the motor is making more noise than it should. over all so far it is doing a good job.
Customer Rating: Summary: My face thanks me Comment: I HAD problems with razor bumps and tried a few different products. I have been using Anids now for a over a year and i can tell you my razor bump problems are history.
Like some reviewrs have posted, the unit does get a bit hot, but i prefer the unit to get hot and still deliver a great close shave, than those other products that dont get hot and have razor bumps to deal with afterward.
This is a great product.
