Summary: Great clippers, but your paying for the quality.
Comment: I've only used the clippers once, but I must say I was impressed. As soon as you pick these clippers up you can feel the difference between these and less expensive clippers. The heavier weight, the balance, and the shape, all make them very comfortable use. They also seem to run much quieter than my old clippers. The extra long power cord was very convenient. Changing blades is quick and easy, and the blades didn't seem to get too hot. However I feel your paying for the quality. I talked to a groomer before purchasing these, she told me there is a big difference between using attachment combs, and different sized blades. I bought a blade that leaves the hair 3/4 inch long, that cost me another $35.00. I do agree with what she told me though, the blade did work much better. One last thing, my dogs didn't seem to mind being cut as much with these, and the cut seemed to be a lot smoother.

Summary: Andis saves time
Comment: I recently purchased the Andis animal clipper, and must say it has saved me time in clipping my dog. I'm sure he appreciates it as much as I do. Not only has it reduced the amount of time I spend trimming, but it gives a very clean cut. I would highly recommend it for anyone that trims their dogs coat.

Comment: These clippers do get hot after a while, but I do the detailed areas close to the skin on my dogs first, then the areas that I use the comb attachments. So my dog and I don't notice the heat anymore.
(Now that I've bought all the attachment combs, oils, brushes, etc. to groom my dog the way I want him groomed I'm wondering if it is really worth all the work involved... just my two cents, but I love these clippers. They definitely made it as easy as it can be.)
